MSC (Mesenchymal Stem Cells)
PRODUCTS
Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSC)
Mesenchymal stem cells obtained from the umbilical cord (Wharton's jelly) are the highest-quality cells with the greatest potential in terms of biological properties.
What Are MSCs?
Mesenchymal stem cells are adult-type stem cells found in connective tissue. They can migrate from the tissues where they reside to damaged tissues and differentiate into various tissue cells.
Depending on their origin, stem cells can transform into the required cell type and be used to repair organ and tissue damage caused by injury, disease and other causes. Thus, they help regenerate all damaged tissues and organs.
Production and Application
Mesenchymal stem cells are produced from Wharton's jelly in the cord tissue by passaging in culture. MSCs are cells used according to need, with personalized treatment protocols.
Key Features and Advantages of MSCs
- Enzyme Secretion: By secreting enzymes, they have the potential to replace enzyme defects in hereditary diseases.
- Isolability: They can be isolated from many tissue types and expanded in vitro (in the laboratory).
- Immunomodulatory Effect: They play a role in regulating the immune system.
- Immunosuppressive Effect: They prevent excessive inflammation by suppressing the immune response.
- Safety: No serious side effects have been observed in clinical applications.
- Allogeneic Use: They do not cause immune rejection (tissue rejection) when applied to another individual.
- Suitability for Gene Therapy: Thanks to their ease of gene transfer and durability, they are suitable for gene therapy studies.
